🏁Pospisil, Ross headline Super Dirt Showdown winners at Salt City Racing

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Tad Pospisil and Eli Ross earned Dirt Super Late Models victories during the Super Dirt Showdown at Salt City Racing at the Kansas State Fairgrounds.

Pospisil, of Norfolk, Nebraska, led Saturday’s A Feature from start to finish after starting on the pole in the No. 04 car. He held off Scott Crigler of Alton, Missouri, who charged from 15th to finish second.

Sawyer Crigler, also of Alton, advanced from sixth to third. Aaron Marrant of Kearney, Missouri, finished fourth, and John Hansen of Brush, Colorado, rounded out the top five.

Jerrett Bransom of Burleson, Texas, placed sixth, followed by Kip Hughes of Enid, Oklahoma; Chris Bragg of Springtown, Texas; John Rowland of Warsaw, Missouri; and Dustin Walker of Polk, Missouri.

Kansas drivers Dusty Leonard of Marysville, Mike Petersilie of Hoisington and James Rini of Haysville finished 11th, 13th and 16th, respectively.

Ross, of Muskogee, Oklahoma, won Friday’s Dirt Super Late Models A Feature after starting on the outside of the front row. Scott Crigler finished second after gaining two positions, while polesitter Pospisil placed third.

Sawyer Crigler and Bragg completed the top five. Brandon Morton of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, advanced from 12th to sixth, while Petersilie delivered the race’s biggest charge by climbing 11 positions from 20th to ninth.

Hutchinson’s Jake Nightingale finished eighth after starting fifth. Fellow Hutchinson driver Dakota Dellinger was scored 20th after failing to finish.

Local drivers also found success in the IMCA divisions.

Hutchinson’s Dalton Chambers started second and won the IMCA Northern SportMod A Feature in the No. 17D. Polesitter Alex Wiens of Newton finished second, followed by Trevin Frye of Belleville.

Jonathan Saliba of New Cambria advanced five positions to finish fourth, while Cody Williams of Minneapolis completed the top five. Hutchinson’s Dallas Chambers placed seventh.

Petersilie led the IMCA Modified A Feature from start to finish after starting on the pole in the No. 25P. Cale Lagroon of Salina finished second, and Cooper Weis of Little River placed third.

Tyler Davis of Haysville provided the feature’s biggest charge, moving from 18th to fifth. Hutchinson’s Peyton Burkhart finished eighth, while Aaron Rayl and Dalton Heiter, also of Hutchinson, placed 10th and 11th.

Hutchinson’s Jayce Reimer captured the 15-lap IMCA Stock Car A Feature after starting third in the 13-car field. Reimer drove the No. 775 to victory ahead of fellow Hutchinson drivers Chris Pitts and Scott Miller.

Kaleb Dale of Partridge and Ryan Grit of Assaria completed the top five. Other area finishers included Dylan Chambers of Haven in seventh, Tanner Thiel of Hutchinson in eighth and Chris Griffin of Abbyville in 10th.
