McPHERSON COUNTY - One person is dead and another injured following a single-vehicle crash early Friday morning in McPherson County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says the crash happened just after 5:30 a.m. on Interstate 135, about one mile north of Quivira Road.
A car traveling southbound went off the roadway, and when the driver overcorrected, the vehicle rolled multiple times before coming to rest in the southbound lanes, facing southwest.
Nineteen-year-old Joel Guffey of Hutchinson was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle 20-year-old Bentley D. Eckhoff was taken to Salina Regional Health Center with suspected minor injuries.
Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
