Phyllis C. Randels, 87, of Sharon, died Thursday, August 4, 2022 at Attica Long Term Care, Attica.
She was born on February 18, 1935 in Tonkawa, OK, the daughter of Floyd Sr. and Hettie May (Gregory) Wood. On July 24, 1965 she married Robert Randels in Medicine Lodge. He survives.
Phyllis was a homemaker. She was a member of the St. Boniface Catholic Church, the St. Boniface Altar Society, the Sharon Ladies Card Club and the Sharon Bowlers. Phyllis lived for her family. She was the ultimate caregiver for her husband of 57 years down to her great grandchildren. Even into her 80’s she was still cooking huge meals for family gatherings and babysitting grands and great grands! She loved attending all activities of her children and grands and was one of the loudest fans in the crowd. Phyllis also treasured her girl trips and fun with her dearest friends and her sister Lila. She was an avid bowler, card player and bingo enthusiast. There was rarely a family get together that mom/grandma wasn't the last one up still ready to socialize with any of us who could keep up with her.
Surviving in addition to her husband, Robert Randels of Sharon, are six children, Brenda (Randy) Slabaugh of Fort Wayne, Indiana; Steve (Edsy) Randels of Cortez, Co; Becky (Steve) Catlin of Medicine Lodge; Toni (Monte) Thom of Medicine Lodge; Jay (Jodie) Randels of Alva, OK; and Casey (Brandee) Randels of Medicine Lodge; 21 grandchildren, Lindsay Ritter, Logan Fuller, Lyvia Fredrick, Landon Fuller, Parker Randels, Payton Montano, Payley Randels, Alex Collins, Colt Catlin, Taylor Rucker, Kristine Landwehr, Herbie Landwehr, Heath Landwehr, Micah Waggoner, Riley Thom, Blake Randels, Brooke Randels, Brock Randels, Garrett Randels, Emma Randels and Derrek Randels; 19 great-grandchildren; Siblings, Jerry Wood, Floyd Wood, Jr, and Lila Sattre
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, a Granddaughter Kelli Gates, siblings Gene Wood, Charles Wood, Paul Wood and Warren Wood.
Rosary/vigil service will be held on Sunday, August 7, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. at the St. Boniface Catholic Church, Sharon, KS. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, August 8, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Boniface Catholic Church, Sharon, KS with Father Emmanuel Kosikumah presiding. Burial will be in the St. Boniface Cemetery, Sharon, KS with a luncheon at the St Boniface Hall to follow and greet the family.
