📷 Food Bank gets many donations in November

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The 13th annual "Stuff the Trucks" event for Midwest Superstore, Country 102.9 and My 93-1 was held Saturday, Nov. 11 at Walmart.

1,721 total pounds of non-perishable food items were collected at the Stuff the Trucks event, along with $3500 in monetary donations.

Community members bought non-perishable food items to fill the back of a truck. The non-perishables are donated to the Reno County Food Bank. Collected food items include canned goods, cereals and pastas.

Midwest Superstore contributed two trucks that were placed at the front entrances of Walmart.

In addition, the We'll Leave Our Lights on Food Drive with 20 Hutchinson area churches on Nov. 15 brought in 8,879 pounds of food. 

Further, Reno County employees Reno County Cares' Thanksgiving Food Drive brought in 525 pounds of non-perishable food items and $670 in cash donations to the Reno County Food Bank Friday, Nov. 17th.
