Georgia Roberta (Malsam) Austin was born on August, 24th, 1932 in Wakeeney, to George Malsam & Frances Keller.
On Dec 26th, 1951, she married the love of her life Richard Loren Austin at St. Michael’s church in Collyer, and celebrated 70 wonderful years of marriage. Georgia was a homemaker for their 5 children as well as an active volunteer at various churches.
Georgia was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Medicine Lodge. She enjoyed playing cards and board games, birdwatching, watching KU basketball and the Chicago Cubs, listening to the radio, baking, sewing, camping and nature hiking.
Georgia was proceeded in death by her: son Kevin, son-in-law Rich Dinkel, her parents George & Frances Malsam, her brothers Bill, Alvin, and Bud, her sisters Renilda Hecker and Lorena Schuster.
Georgia is survived by her: son Kyle Austin & wife Cindy of Preston. Daughters Kim Keller & husband Gary of Garden City, Kerri Dinkel of Basehor, and Kona Errebo & husband Gregg of Holcomb, daughter in law Mary Ann Austin of Shawnee. Her twin brother George and wife Margaret, sisters Gerry, Madeline & husband Joe, Lavetta & husband Tom, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Georgia was blessed with 5 children, 13 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren.
Rosary/vigil service will be held on Monday, June 6, 2022 at 9:30 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial following at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Medicine Lodge, with Father Emmanuel Kosikumah officiating. Burial will be in the Highland Cemetery, Medicine Lodge. A luncheon will follow at the church after the graveside service.
