The Reno County Child Care Task Force is preparing to host what organizers say will be its final ARPA-funded training event for local child care providers next month in Hutchinson.
According to the Reno County Child Care Taskforce, the three-hour training session is scheduled for June 6 from 9 a.m. to noon at 1505 East 20th Avenue in Hutchinson.
The Reno County Child Care Task Force says it has spent the past several years investing in the local child care workforce through quarterly sponsored training events aimed at supporting providers, strengthening quality and expanding access to professional development opportunities within Reno County.

Organizers said the upcoming session will be the final RCCCTF-sponsored training event as American Rescue Plan Act funding comes to an end.
The training is being offered in partnership with KCCTO’s Pathways Program and is designed to serve a purpose beyond professional development. Officials say participation data gathered from the event will help demonstrate the impact of local training opportunities on Reno County child care providers.
The task force hopes the information collected will support future funding opportunities and help continue similar workforce development initiatives in the future.
Organizers say the data collected will highlight workforce growth, professional development impact, provider support needs and the importance of local access to training opportunities.
