CITY OF HUTCHINSON
A water outage is currently affecting a portion of the city due to a planned maintenance project that required a wider service interruption than originally expected.
The impacted area is bounded by Sherman Avenue to the north, D Street to the south, Plum Street to the west, and South Severance Street to the east. City officials have shared that the outage will last approximately four hours while crews complete essential infrastructure work.
Although some residents were notified in advance, the expansion of the project area means not all households and businesses may have received a warning. City staff have advised that if you hear from neighbors or local businesses inquiring about the disruption, this unplanned expansion is likely the reason.
The Water Maintenance team is on-site and working to complete the project as quickly and safely as possible. The city thanks residents for their patience and understanding during the interruption.
