Gary D. Moorman, 54, died on Jan. 24, 2021 at his home in Derby, KS. He was born November 13, 1966 in Hutchinson, KS., the son of Keith Moorman and Mary Irene (Hindman) Whitman.
Gary graduated from Buhler High School and Emporia State University where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Phycology. Gary worked as a cook for the Veteran’s Hospital and as a CMA for Nurse Finders and Villa Marie Nursing Home. He was a very loving and caring individual. He enjoyed fishing and stamp collecting but his favorite hobby was being a rock hound and going crystal hunting in Arkansas.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Survivors include his longtime partner, Ron Ledford; brothers, Richard D. and Michael T. Moorman; and an uncle, Kennith Hindman.
A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Monday, Feb. 1, 2021 at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave., Hutchinson, KS. Visitation will be 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
