
SEDGWICK COUNTY —A Hutchinson man was injured in an accident just after 5:30a.m. Monday in Sedgwick County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2015 Nissan 370Z driven by Jeremiah Wade Haynes, 20, El Dorado was westbound on Kansas 96 just east of 263rd Street West.
The Nissan rear-ended a 2003 Chevy Trailblazer driven by Nicholas Ramon Wagner, 56, Hutchinson, that was partly in the lane while pulling onto the outside shoulder.
Due to the dark and the damage to the rear, the Trailblazer was not clearly visible.
A 2006 Dodge Dakota driven by Enrique Reyes Hernandez, 51, Wichita, then also rear-ended the Trailblazer. A westbound 2008 Toyota Camry driven by Jody Christopher Wilgus, 38, Wichita, swerved through the accident scene and side swiped the Trailblazer.
EMS transported Wagner to Wesley Medical Center. The other drivers were not injured. All four were properly restrained, according to the KHP.

MOUNT HOPE — An accident on K-96 near Mount Hope caused a diversion in traffic for a short period Monday morning.
According to Kansas Highway Patrol dispatch, the accident was called in at 5:35 a.m. Monday. The westbound lanes were closed while the accident was investigated and traffic was diverted onto Andale Road.
As of 8:35 a.m. the road has reopened to traffic. Eyewitnesses say four vehicles were involved, details on the accident will be released later today by the Kansas Highway Patrol.
