Kansas City Chiefs defensive end Charles Omenihu is returning for another season following a 1-year, $7 million deal, per ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Omenihu has played in 17 games over the past two seasons for the Chiefs, accounting for 34 tackles, five tackles for loss and three forced fumbles.

He became a free agent after the 2024 season. Omenihu only appeared in six games during the 2024 season after returning in late December following a torn ACL in the previous year's AFC Championship Game.

Omenihu, 27, is a former fifth-round pick of the Houston Texans in 2019. He was in the third year of his four-year, $2,815,280 rookie contract when he was traded to the 49ers for a late-round pick in 2021.
