Role and Responsibilities
Prepare and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling, etc.
Understand specifications of the task at-hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings, work instructions, etc.
As required, translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function.
Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machine.
Prepare a test run to check if the machine produces outputs according to specifications.
Set machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result.
Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
1 to 2 years of experience as a CNC operator, as well as, experience in tooling and precision measurement tools.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings.
Computer savvy with basic understanding of computer programming.
Mechanical aptitude and good mathematical skills.
Great attention to detail and a results-driven approach.
Good communication skills.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Skills
Certificate or diploma in engineering, manufacturing, or relevant discipline is a plus.
