
HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The unemployment rate for Reno County fell again in June as businesses started to open following the pandemic-driven shutdown.
The June unemployment rate was 6.4% compared with 8.1% in May. Hutchinson’s unemployment rate also fell from 8.9% in May to 7.3% in June.
There were 1,975 county residents without a job in June, which is 524 fewer than in May. The state’s unemployment rate fell from 10% in May to 7.5% in June.
