Mark Patrick Crough, 77, passed away October 12, 2021, and Virginia Sue Crough, 77, passed away October 8, 2021, both at Hospice House, Hutchinson. He was born May 16, 1944, in Salina, to Mark Phillip and Jean (Price) Crough. She was born February 6, 1944, in Malvern, AR, to Joseph and Leona (Turner) Hokett.
Mark was the owner of C&C Automotive, Hutchinson. Virginia was a 1963 graduate of Salina High School and a homemaker. The two of them were inseparable. They enjoyed racing and attending their kids and grandkids’ activities. Mark’s interests included working on cars and engaging in computer technology. One could find Virginia playing Bingo or reading a romance novel.
On November 9, 1963, Mark Patrick Crough married Virginia Sue Hokett in Salina. They shared almost 58 years of marriage.
Mark and Virginia are survived by: children, Mark (Cindy) Crough of Hutchinson, Kaylene (Jason) Krase of Gardner, and Michelle Apovor of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Odasie, Kourinza, Jayden, Josh, Tayezhan, Kaulyiha, Markquel, Maudeeya, Josiyden, and Qehlanii; great-grandchildren, Bryilee and Atreyu; Mark’s sister, Jean Crough; and Virginia’s siblings, Joe (Suzanne) Hokett, Bill (Robin) Hokett, Harry (Jenny) Hokett, and Esther (Sam) Benjamin.
They were preceded in death by: their parents; daughters, Marlena Crough and Carie Poole; and Virginia’s sister and brother-in-law, Lois and Victor Billeci.
No services are planned at this time.
