Kansas woman injured in crash has died

JACKSON COUNTY—A Kansas woman critically injured in an accident just after 7:30a.m. Tuesday in Jackson County has died.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2005 Infiniti G5 driven by Wayne A. Dunn, 83, Lyndon, was northbound on U.S. 75 at 158th Road.

The car struck an eastbound 2003 Ford F150 driven by Rachael Louise McCoy, 29, Holton.  She was ejected from the pickup, according to Jackson County Sheriff Tim Morse.

EMS transported McCoy, Dunn and two children — a 10-year-old and a 7-year-old, both from Holton — to Stormont Vail in Topeka where McCoy died on Wednesday, the agency reported.

The occupants of the pickup were not wearing seat belts, according to the KHP.
