
HAVEN, Kan. — After a week's delay, Craig Idacavage will be interviewing for USD 312 superintendent today. His original interview was delayed by weather.
Idacavage, currently a principal in his sixth year in Leavenworth, is interviewing to replace Clark Wedel who will retire at the end of the school year.
Each candidate is meeting with Wedel and two board members for about 20 minutes before a tour of the district's facilities throughout the day. The candidate will then have a break for lunch with district administrators and directors.
Following the tours, a come and go reception will be held for the public from 3:30 until 4:30 p.m. at the Haven High School Library. Following dinner, the board will hold the formal interview with Idacavage.
Before going to Leavenworth, Idacavage served as a principal and activities director in the Renwick and North Lyon County districts.
