Tonight is the night. Reno County residents are being encouraged to share their voice and vision for the future at a public session which is part of the ongoing Reno County Economic Development Strategic Plan process.
Hosted by Greater Hutch and supported by a coalition of community partners, the session will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. at Memorial Hall. The event is facilitated by Amy Holloway of Aha! Strategy + Facilitation, a firm brought in to guide community input and planning over the next several days.
The strategic planning effort aims to identify long-term goals and actionable steps to grow and strengthen the local economy. Organizers are seeking public input on key questions: What are Reno County’s economic strengths and challenges? What should the economy look like a decade from now? And what practical steps can the community take over the next five years to move in that direction?
Community leaders emphasize that resident feedback is critical to shaping a shared vision for the county’s future.
“We want to hear directly from the people who live and work here,” Greater Hutch said in a Facebook post. “Your input helps ensure the plan reflects the needs and aspirations of the entire community.”
