RENO COUNTY—Two people were injured in an accident just after 4:30p.m. Friday in Reno County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2016 Volvo semi driven by Sushil Nevse, 52, McKinney, Texas, was northbound on Kansas 14 four miles south of Hutchinson. The semi rear-ended a 2005 Lincoln Aviator driven by John J. Ackerman, 62, Hutchinson, who stopped for the flagger in a construction zone. After impact the SUV overturned in the west ditch.
EMS transported Ackerman and a passenger Gina M. Ackerman, 61, Hutchinson to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. The semi driver was not injured. All three were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
