Celia F. Unruh, 99, of Strasburg, Colorado, passed away Friday, August 12, 2022 at University of Colorado Hospital in Denver. She was born March 17, 1923 in Marysville, the daughter of Theodore Franklin and Violet May (Long) Butler.
She was a member of Gospel Church of God in Christ, Mennonite in Moundridge. Celia was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) and was the eldest member of the Longs Peak Chapter in Longmont, Colorado.
Celia was united in marriage to Cecil Unruh on February 8, 1947 in Salina. He preceded her in death on February 20, 1996.
Celia was a devoted homemaker, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.
She is survived by her son, Cy (Terry) Unruh of Strasburg, CO; grandson, Ryan Unruh; great-grandchildren, Kassie Hogeland and Gaige Unruh; great-great-granddaughter, Alaina Hogeland; and many nieces and nephews.
Celia was preceded in death by her parents, Ted and Violet Butler; husband, Cecil Unruh; three sisters, Helen, Rosemarie, and her twin sister, Delia; three brothers-in-law; and two sisters-in-law.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 19, 2022 at Gospel Mennonite Church, with family greeting friends one hour prior. Burial will follow at Lone Tree Church Cemetery, rural Galva.
