HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Crystal Ballroom at The Burt will no longer accept new wedding or event bookings as operators consider the future of the downtown Hutchinson venue.
The ballroom, located at 3 West Avenue B, announced the decision in a Facebook post, saying existing events scheduled for this year will still be held as planned.
“For those who currently have an event booked with us this year, rest assured that we are fully committed to hosting your event as planned with the same care, attention, and personalized hospitality that you have come to expect,” the statement said.
Operators did not give a specific reason for the decision or indicate what could come next for the historic venue.
The announcement thanked families, couples, guests, vendors and others who have been part of events at the ballroom.
“It has truly been an honor to share this beautiful historic space with so many families, couples, friends, and guests,” the statement said. “We are deeply grateful for the trust that has been placed in us and for the many beautiful memories created here.”
The statement was signed by Lucinda, Kathy and Sondra.
“As we consider what the next chapter is for our venue, we wish you all peace, love and happiness in all aspects of your lives,” they said.
