HUTCHINSON, Kan.  — The Hutchinson Monarchs enter the final week of the 2026 Jayhawk Collegiate League regular season with a 17-8 record and a chance to build momentum before beginning defense of their NBC World Series championship. Hutchinson is still chasing the Great Bend Bat Cats and the Junction City Brigade for the 2026 Jayhawk Summer League crown.

The Monarchs open the week Monday with a road game against the Haysville Aviators, completing the season series between the two clubs.

Hutchinson then returns to Hobart-Detter Field in Carey Park for its final two home games of the regular season. The Monarchs host the Great Bend Bat Cats on Tuesday, July 14, before closing out the home schedule Friday, July 17, against the Newton Rebels.

The regular season concludes with a road matchup at Newton on Sunday, July 19.

The schedule could still include one, or possibly two additional games that were postponed due to weather a few weeks ago. A possible makeup contest against the Performance Factory Phenoms remains under consideration, with a decision expected Monday, July 13.

After the regular season, the Monarchs will turn their attention to Wichita, where they will begin defense of their NBC World Series title. Hutchinson is scheduled to open tournament play at 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 23, at Eck Stadium against an opponent to be announced. A full NBC schedule and video stream schedule will be announced at nbcbaseball.com.

The Monarchs will look to carry their strong finish into the postseason as they seek another deep run in one of the nation's premier summer collegiate baseball tournaments.
