Terry Lamont McGillivray, 63, of Burrton, died February 24, 2022, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was born February 2, 1959, in Ulysses, to Chester “Mont” and Kathleen (Komma) McGillivray.

Terry graduated from Buhler High School in 1977. He served in the United States Navy from April 1977 to April 1983. Terry was an operations supervisor at Forest Products Supply in Newton. He previously worked at Collins Ambulance/ Wheelcoach Corporation as a production manager. Terry was an outdoorsman through and through. He loved fishing, camping, hunting, boating, any thing outside. Terry also belonged to Duck’s Unlimited. His cabin at Kanopolis Lake was his second home and where he loved to be more than anything.

On August 16, 1991, he was married to Rose Collins, who was his soulmate and love of his life.

Terry is survived by: parents, Mont and Kathleen McGillivray, South Hutchinson; daughter, Tonia Faccone (Mike), Burien, WA; son, Travis McGillivray (Emily), Harvest, AL; stepsons, Bret Collins, Lawrence, Travis Collins, Olathe; grandchildren, Christina and Haley Faccone; Joshua and Anthony McGillivray, Everett and Coraline McGillivray; sister, Pat Augustine (Barry), Hutchinson; brother, Guy “Gil” McGillivray (Kathy), Hutchinson; sister, Leslie Wilds, Yukon, OK; sister, Crystal Hill (Brad), Palmer Lake, CO; brother, Kyle McGillivray (Heather), Cave Creek, AZ; lifelong friend, Greg White, Hutchinson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son, Joshua McGillivray.

Memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, March 5, 2022, at Elliott Mortuary. Family will greet friends for an hour following the service. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, at Elliott Mortuary. A celebration of life will take place at Kanopolis Lake this spring or summer; details will be announced at a later date.
