
Sara Vieyra, 86, of Hutchinson, died October 22, 2020, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. She was born March 24, 1934, in Hutchinson, to Juan and Tranquilina (Marquez) Razo.
Sara graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1952. In addition to being a homemaker, she was a cook for the lunch counter at Woolworths for many years until it closed. Sara was an avid Bingo player and loved to cook for her family. She was a longtime member of the former Southwest Baptist Church.
On May 19, 1956, Sara married Daniel V. Vieyra, in Hutchinson. They shared 64 years of marriage. He survives.
Also surviving are: children, Anthony Vieyra, Melinda Aleman (Richard), Alex Vieyra, Vince Vieyra; sister, Rachel Caudillo; brothers, David Razo (Joyce), Tony Razo (Linda); sister-in-law, Carol Razo, all of Hutchinson; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and many extended family members.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; daughter, Melissa Vieyra; sister, Ruth Garcia; and brothers, John and Joe Razo.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, October 30, 2020, at Elliott Chapel. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Burial Park. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, with family present to receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Elliott Mortuary.
