Keith Alan Wingert, age 55, of Hutchinson, Kansas, passed away on May 25, 2024, surrounded by his very close loved ones. He was born on May 5, 1969, in Hutchinson, Kansas to Judy (McAfee) Caviness and Jerry Wingert.
Keith was a very dedicated and hardworking welder, having worked for several companies including Consolidated Mfg, Kuhn Krause, and most recently at Agco. Outside of work, he found so much joy in going to car shows, gun shows, and concerts with his friends. He was a devoted Raiders fan, enjoyed watching wrestling religiously, riding his motorcycle and spending quality time with friends and family. He would always send tons of funny TikTok videos, recipes and any other crazy things he wanted to look at and make us laugh. Many restaurants knew exactly what he ordered, because he went in there so much. He loved his hot food, the hotter the better for him.
Keith will be remembered for his loving and friendly nature, always sporting a smile. He will be known for his kindness, generosity, and pride in his work. A family person and a great friend, Keith touched the lives of many with his warm heart and unwavering dedication. Once you were his family, you were family for life.
Keith is survived by his mother Judy Caviness, father Jerry Wingert, stepmother Sandra Wingert, sister Kim Baker, brother Roger (Lorie) Wingert, stepsister Bobbie Howard, stepbrother Richard Rinehart, maternal grandmother Virginia Casey, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and best friends.
He is preceded in death by paternal grandparents Ray and Elizabeth Wingert, stepfather Don Caviness, stepbrother Phillip Rinehart, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and best friends Jimmy Isenberg and Brian Halfman.
A celebration of Keith's life will be held on June 22, 2024, at 2pm. Details of the service will be shared on Facebook closer to the day. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Cancer Council of Reno County or Hospice and HomeCare of Reno County.
