HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson USD 308 School Board will hold its first meeting of the new year on Monday. That means a reorganization of the board with a new president and vice president being appointed.
The board will also recognize the two Horizon Award recipients for the district, Paige Stewert and Nick Preheim, and go over the professional services agreement with RSP and Associates. The company is doing a full assessment of the district needs, including facilities.
The board will also go over a revised transportation agreement with Durham Bus Services. Under the revised agreement, the district will pay the fixed cost for its bus lease no matter what type of learning model the district is in. The bus service costs the district $6,186 per day.
Durham will continue to provide all essential and required services as well as pay and retain staff. This is the fixed rate and does not include actual hours for drivers and attendants on duty.
Monday’s Hutchinson USD 308 School Board meeting is at 6 p.m. at the Career and Technical Education Academy at 800 15th Circle.
