
Carl L. Shore, 91, of Pratt, KS, died Friday, May 21, 2021 at Parkwood Village, Pratt, KS.
He was born on December 24, 1929 in St. John, KS, the son of Albert H. Shore and Eva (Smith) Shore. On January 9, 1953, he married Frances Louise (Gobin) Shore at Kansas City, MO. She survives.
Carl was employed at the Peoples Bank for 48 years. After retirement he and Louise enjoyed travelling in his RV and spending winters in south Texas. He was a member of the First Baptist Church where he joined in 1944. After the First Baptist Church closed, he joined the Iuka Methodist Church. He was a member of the Rotary Club for 25 years. Carl was a 3rd Class Petty Officer for the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
Surviving in addition to his wife Louise Shore of Pratt, KS are three children, Denise Williams of Healy, KS, Kevin Shore of Pratt, KS and Carlton Shore of Lawrence, KS; Two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents and by his siblings, Myrtle Lynch, Vada Shoemaker, and Raymond Shore.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Rd., Pratt, KS 67124 with Louis Keeling officiating. Private family inurnment will be held at the Iuka Cemetery, Iuka, KS.
