Join the Celebration June 7th, 2025 for a Family-Friendly Spring-Into-Summer Fling with Vendors, Farm Fun, and Evening Festivities
Floyd Bledsoe, exoneree and advocate for justice reform, invites the public to celebrate a decade of freedom with the official ribbon cutting of Bledsoe Serenity Homestead on June 7, 2025. This milestone event themed the “Spring-Into-Summer Fling,” will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with free admission for all ages. Evening festivities for adults only will follow from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
This celebration marks ten years since Floyd Bledsoe was exonerated after serving 16 years for a crime he did not commit. Falsely imprisoned for the 1999 murder of his 14-year-old sister-in-law, Floyd was freed in 2015 after DNA evidence and a confession letter from his brother confirmed his innocence. Since then, Floyd has built a new life rooted in healing, family, and community—culminating in the creation of Bledsoe Serenity Homestead, a sanctuary where growth and peace meet purpose.
“I owe my freedom to the relentless work of the Midwest Innocence Project and the KU Law School,” Floyd says. “They believed in me, fought for me, and never gave up. I’m honored to celebrate this 10-year freedom-versary with their continued support.”

• Karaoke and live music by DJ Impressions, a local DJ right here in Hutchinson.
• The Tipsy Owl Mobile Bar
