HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Although it has been discussed from time to time the Reno County Commission will discuss and take possible action on a proposal to reduce the number of meetings per month.

Under the proposal the County Commission would meet the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month. That plan would be similar to the Hutchinson City Council.

Under the proposal, study sessions could be called as needed and if a special meeting is needed it can be assembled as well.

The meeting protocol would stay the same as it is now which includes public comment and reports from county officials.

The matter is on the agenda for discussion and possible action at tomorrow’s County Commission meeting starting at 9 a.m. at the Reno County Courthouse.
