Fairgoers can expect a packed schedule today at the Kansas State Fair, with activities starting bright and early and continuing late into the evening.

The day kicks off at 8 a.m. with a variety of 4-H and FFA breeding shows for cattle, goats, sheep, and swine, along with the Rabbit Show in the Rabbit Barn. Agriculture remains a strong theme throughout the morning, with open poultry and rabbit displays, Agriland, Moo-U barn tours, and the popular butter sculpture in the Pride of Kansas building.

Visitors will also find clothing and textile exhibits, fine and professional art, floriculture, and demonstrations from woodcarvers in the Oz Gallery. For those looking for entertainment, Hedrick’s Pig Races, the Draft Horse Show, and chainsaw carving demonstrations are among the highlights.

Cultural performances add variety to the afternoon lineup, including Mexico en el Corazon Folkloric Group and Wilson Czech Dancers, alongside circus acts and the always-popular Cowboy Circus. The Education Center will feature interactive science programs, zoo presentations, and salt demonstrations from Strataca.

Evening attractions promise to draw big crowds with the Mutton Bustin’ Championship, hypnotist Ron Diamond, and multiple stage performances across the fairgrounds. The night will culminate at the Nex-Tech Grandstand, where country music star Josh Turner will take the stage, joined by Jason Scott and the High Heat.

With livestock, art, family entertainment, and live music, today’s schedule offers something for everyone to enjoy at the Kansas State Fair.
