The Newton Fire Department battled a shed fire near Emma Creek Road and West First.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Inital units responding to the fire reported that one shed was fully involved on their arrival.&nbsp; A nearby adjacent barn was protected by the fire crews and remained standing.&nbsp;

Crews worked the scene in temperatures that were below zero and had water supply issues when the valves on a water tender were frozen.&nbsp;

Hesston, Walton Halstead and Sedgwick fire crews provided mutual aid to Newton to fight the fire.&nbsp;&nbsp;
