Police catch Kansas woman breaking into cars

SEDGWICK COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a car burglary and have made an arrest.

On June 5, a police officer was proactively patrolling in the area of 100 N. Rock Island in Wichita observed 28-year-old Breana Holt of Wichita attempting to break the window of a vehicle, according to Officer Charley Davidson.

Officers contacted her and learned a separate vehicle in the lot had been broken into and items were taken.

Officers arrested her on requested charges of burglary of a non-dwelling, criminal damage to property, and theft of property. Officers also recovered the stolen property.

Police reminded the public to hide your items to leave in your car, lock your vehicle and take your keys.
