HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The COVID-19 pandemic is changing the way parents, students and teachers will meet for the fall Parent-Teacher Conferences.
In the past, the vast majority of conferences were face-to-face in the same room. Some of those were by appointment with specific teachers while others were done “arena style” with parents meeting with teachers on a come-and-go basis in a large meeting area.
In 2020, however, the conferences will be virtual – either electronically via Zoom or other conferencing tool or telephone calls.
Parents will receive notes on how to set up conferences.
As with any conference period, there will be no school for students on Thursday, Oct. 8 and Friday, Oct. 9. Additionally, there will be no conferences on Oct. 9.
