Jerry Faye Carmichael, 84, died April 26, 2021, at Diversicare of Hutchinson. He was born July 10, 1936, in Hutchinson, to Clyde Harold and Mildred Dilcy (Romig) Carmichael.
Jerry graduated from Haven High School, and retired from Dan Dee Air as a welder. His life revolved around fishing and hunting, and MORE fishing and hunting. Jerry was a member of Full Gospel Fellowship Church, Hutchinson.
On October 28, 1976, he married Juanita Jane (Jantz) Borntrager, in Hutchinson. They met while both worked at Collins Industries.
Jerry is survived by: his wife of over 44 years, Juanita of Hutchinson; children, Elaine Gaskel (Nick), Christina Frost (Doug), all of Joplin, MO, Jerry Dean Carmichael (Diana) of South Hutchinson, and John Carmichael (Carla) of Hutchinson; stepdaughters, Linda Bush and Jo Ann Stofer of Hutchinson; brother, Tim Carmichael (Janie) of Haven; grandchildren, Christie, Charlie, Brandy, Allen, Jerry Dean, Jr., Joshua, Jordan, Nikki, Tiffany, Tyler, Jesse, Lisa, Nick, Jeremy and Kim; numerous great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; sister, Mickie Blackburn; brother, Donie Carmichael; stepson, Marvin Dale Borntrager; and a grandson, Mike.
Due to Covid, a Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
