McPherson County Housing Conference later this month

MCPHERSON, Kan. — The 2nd annual McPherson County, Kansas Housing Conference is coming up September 29 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the McPherson Community Building at 122 East Marlin and will feature speakers discussing development, rentals, and resources for housing.

McPherson County community leaders will share information on housing efforts, gaps, and opportunities.

Featured break-out sessions will include:

• Tracy McCubbin-Rural Development-Housing Resources

• Teresa Baker-HCCI-Tenant/Landlord Laws

• Jim Witt-Emporia Asst. City Manager-Main St Development

• Ryan Vincent –Kansas Housing Resource Corp-KHRC Housing Resources/Programs

• Dr. Stephen Gray-Revolution Church-Aging out of Foster care

• Yesenia Rivera – Solar United-Solar Energy

• Chris Goodson & Karolyn Moore- MHC- McPherson County Resources

The conference's keynote speaker is Lily Milwet-National Homeless Law Center "Housing Not Handcuffs"
