LYON COUNTY —A Harvey County man was injured in an accident just before 8a.m. Thursday in Lyon County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2013 Ford Edge driven by Stephen David Handley, 61, Hesston, was southbound on Interstate 35 in lane two.
The SUV swerved into lane one, traveled off the road to the left and stuck the guardrail. The vehicle bounced off the guardrail and traveled down into the ditch and struck a fence and tree.
EMS transported Handley to Newman Medical in Emporia. He was properly restrained, according to the KHP.
