KANSAS STATE FAIR

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Country music icon Jo Dee Messina will bring her signature powerhouse vocals and chart-topping hits to the 2026 Kansas State Fair. Messina will take the stage at the Kansas Star Casino Grandstand on Sunday, September 13 at 7:30 PM. Opening the night will be critically acclaimed singer-songwriter and rising country artist Adam Doleac.

Most albums reflect a season. Messina’s new album, Bridges, is 10 years' worth of seasons rolled up into one. The love, the life, the pain, the fight, the learning — and the living through it all.

“It’s not about a full transformation,” Messina says. “It’s about what I’ve gone through and how I’ve gotten through it all. But I’m not done living yet. There’s still a lot more to learn.”

And that’s where we find Messina now — at the start of a new chapter. At a turning point but firmly moving forward. And what a path it’s been so far. The road behind her is littered with accolades: nine number-one hits, 16 Top 40 songs, and awards and nominations from the ACM, CMA, AMA, Billboard and the Grammys. A true icon, Messina has become a North Star in the music world, carving a path for artists and inspiring the younger generation. See Lainey Wilson’s recent CMA shoutout, Cole Swindell’s ode to “Heads Carolina, Tails California,” plus Sierra Ferrell and Nikki Lane’s cover of “Lesson in Leavin’." She’s not just a country legend — her influence spreads across multiple generations and genres.

Opening the night will be Adam Doleac, a Mississippi-born artist taking the Nashville scene by storm with his unique signature sound. After trading big-league baseball dreams for a music career, Doleac made his way to Nashville, where he spent several years penning lyrics for notable names including Kane Brown, Lainey Wilson, Dan + Shay, Nate Smith and more. His catalog includes the Gold-certified song “Famous,” along with recent releases “Bye Heart,” “Dream House” and “Bar Named Jesus” featuring Thomas Rhett, and with north of half a billion on-demand audio and video streams to date, Doleac’s soulful voice and heartfelt lyrics have won over a legion of fans and audiences across the globe.
