
TOPEKA —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a Kansas man in connection with multiple criminal investigations spanning the last several months.
On August 5, police investigators served a search warrant on a suspect’s vehicle in reference to the ongoing investigations that include an armed robbery that occurred to an individual in July and multiple storage unit burglaries and catalytic convertor thefts, according to Topeka Police Department spokesperson Gretchen Spiker.
During the service of the search warrant, police recovered catalytic convertors, drug paraphernalia and stolen tools.
The suspect, identified as Tyler E. McGivern, 38 of Topeka was arrested and booked into the Shawnee County Department of Corrections on requested charges of Aggravated Robbery; Armed w/dangerous weapon, Criminal Damage To Property; Misdemeanor Theft of Firearm with value less than $25,000 (All Other) Theft < $1,500 All Other Burglary; Non-dwelling to commit felony, theft or sexually motivated crime, Theft > $1,500 < $25,000 From Building, Theft > $1,500 < $25,000 Motor Vehicle Parts or Accessories and Criminal damage to property; Without consent value $1,000 to $25,000
