

Orlando J. “Lanny” Wagoner, 87, died Dec. 28, 2020, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. He was born March 30, 1933, in Park, KS, to Sephronius and Helen (Depperschmidt) Wagoner.
Lanny attended St. Teresa High School, and served in the United States Army for two years. He owned Wagoner Auto Repair (formerly located at 928 S. Main), with his father, brother, and sons, for over 65 years. Lanny was an active member of Church of the Holy Cross. There was nothing more important to Lanny than his faith and family.
On February 4, 1956, he married Jane Anita Alexander, at St. Teresa Catholic Church, Hutchinson. They shared almost 65 years of marriage.
Lanny is survived by wife, Jane; children, Melissa Hoffman (Jerry), Daniel Wagoner (Lori), Robert Wagoner (Kathy), all of Hutchinson, and Janie McLemore (Shawn) of Nickerson; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and seven step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Virgil.
Parish Rosary will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2021, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m., both at Church of the Holy Cross, 2631 Independence Road, Hutchinson, with Father Aaron Spexarth officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson, with military honors conducted by the Fort Riley Honor Guard.
