Officials at Dillon Stores have announced renovation plans for their location at 3200 Plaza E Dr, Hutchinson, Kan. 67502 to provide customers with even more of what they want – an abundance of fresh foods at a great value, customer-friendly service and convenient one-stop shopping.  The construction project is currently underway and is expected to be completed this later this summer.

The announcement of its renovation project marks a significant multi-million-dollar renovation, following the grand opening of the Dillons Marketplace location in 2013.  These investments continue to be attributed to Dillons’ steadfast commitment to its hometown, proudly serving the Hutchinson community since 1921.

When complete, the newly remodeled Dillons Marketplace will feature enhancements throughout the store.  A few examples include:

  1. New Murray’s Cheese Shop offering imported and domestic specialty cheeses and an olive & antipasto bar.
  2. New sushi kiosk with fresh, hand-made sushi.
  3. Additional selections of garden-fresh produce, including organic varieties and new salad bar.
  4. Enhanced frozen food and grocery offerings with a focus on quality store brands, including its new budget-friendly line, Kroger Value.
  5. Updated store layout with newly designed apparel, kitchen, pet and seasonal departments.
  6. Debut of new décor package with enhanced colors, department markers, and energy-efficient ambient lighting, a first for Dillons and Kroger.

According to Sheila Regehr, Dillons spokesperson, the renovated store will provide busy customers with the latest offerings for a one-stop shopping experience.  “This renovation represents an opportunity for our customers to experience the very best Dillons has to offer with a fresh look at one-stop shopping and the friendliest service,” said Regehr.  "We are excited to make this investment right here in Hutchinson, as we continue our unwavering commitment to serving our hometown for more than 100 years.”
