Case count continues down, 90 as of Friday

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The overall COVID-19 case count in Reno County is at 90 as of Friday. The death count among Reno County residents is at 138. The last time we were at or below 90 active cases overall was mid-September.

Out of 7,716 total cases since the beginning of the pandemic, there have been 7,488 recoveries. There are 8 clusters still being monitored. The long-term care facility cluster type is down to just three active cases.

No Reno County residents are in the hospital with COVID-19 as of Friday. The last day with a documented admission was February 23.

The Positive Test Rate rolling average is at 7.0%, which leaves schools in the yellow for gating criteria for another week.

Drive-thru testing is currently available at the Kansas Cosmosphere at 1100 N Plum in Hutchinson.
