A bridge replacement project is scheduled to begin Friday on North Emma Creek Road between West First Street and Northwest 12th Street. That's west of Newton and northeast of Halstead.
North Emma Creek Road will be closed to through traffic at the replacement site for the duration of the project. Residents will continue to have access to their properties.
This project is anticipated to be completed by the end of May, contingent on weather.
