Donnie E. Schrag, 67, entered Heaven Feb. 15, 2021, at Stafford County Hospital. He was born Oct. 24, 1953, in Halstead, Kansas, the son of Marvin E. and Bertha (Gehring) Schrag. .
He was in the Moundridge High School class of 1971. He worked as a welder at Hesston Corporation for 42 years and was a Union member. He was a member of Buhler Mennonite Brethren Church and the Buhler Jaycees.
Donnie married Shirley J. Fahrney July 26, 1975, at Buhler Mennonite Brethren Church. She survives.
Other survivors include a son, Jeff (Daphnie) Schrag of Stafford; a daughter, Jean (Mike) Cumbie of Kansas City, MO; grandchildren, Desirae Kessler, Ruger Schrag, Jessica Schrag and Rowan Cumbie; great grandchildren, Toby, Naomi, Paislea and Riggin Kessler; a brother, Dale (Carol) Schrag of Newton; a sister, Delila (Lester) Wedel of Elbing, KS. He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Jane Ford, Judy Regier and Diane Desmond.
Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, Feb. 22, 2021, at Buhler Mennonite Brethren Church. The service will be live-streamed on the Buhler MB Facebook page. Burial will follow at Buhler Municipal East Cemetery. Social distancing and masks are required. The family suggests memorial contributions to Jennifer Schroeder or Keith Ford, who are missionaries abroad, in care of Buhler Mortuary, P.O. Box 589, Buhler, KS 67522.
