Sally Louise McIntire, 68, passed away January 14, 2022, at Wesley Rehabilitation Hospital, Wichita. She was born April 8, 1953, in Hutchinson, to L.W. ‘Mac’ and Dorothy (Tedrick) McMillin.
Sally was a 1971 graduate of Hutchinson High School. She attended KU for a short time then graduated from the School of Nursing, Hutchinson in 1976. After a few years working on the Cardiac floor at St. Joseph Hospital in Wichita, she came to work at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center where she was an R.N. in Intensive Care. In all, she worked as a nurse for almost 40 years.
Growing up as an only child and losing her mother at a young age created a strong importance of family. Her greatest achievement was her three children. They were the center of her world. Sally would drop everything to be there for her family if there was ever a need. That love only grew as the grandchildren came along. She enjoyed attending activities for her children and grandchildren. Sally also enjoyed music. She loved to play the piano, sing and watch musicals.
She is survived by: her children, Amy (Brian) Danenberg of Manhattan; Laura (Jared Casanova) Goss of Hutchinson; and Ian (Brittani) McIntire of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Melaina Goss, Ryan Goss, Brailey McIntire, Miles Danenberg, Kinsley McIntire, and Madilyn McIntire; and Jim (Louise) McIntire of Buhler; the father of Amy, Laura, and Ian.
Sally was preceded in death by: an infant brother; her parents; and grandson, Mason McIntire.
