Angeline “Angie” Catherine Biggs, 93, died Oct. 28, 2021 at Park West, Wichita.
She was born May 29, 1928, in St. Mary’s Aleppo, Kansas, the daughter of Michael Jacob Martin, Jr. and Angela Marie Ewertz Martin. A longtime resident of Kingman County, previously of St. Mary’s, Garden Plain and Andale, she was a retired teacher.
Angie received her education at St. Mary’s Aleppo Grade School, Andale High School, Newman University and Wichita State University.
She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Kingman, St. Catherine of Sienna in Wichita; and the Daughters of Isabella.
On Oct. 24, 1950, Angie married Daniel Biggs, Jr. at St. Mary’s Aleppo; he died Apr. 1, 2011. Survivors include sons Gregory (Jeri), Wichita, Bradley (Sherri), Shalimar, FL, and Daniel III (Elvira), Miami, FL; daughters Sharon (Bill) Buscher, Topeka, Constance (John) Leavitt, Olathe, Marianne (Bruce) Larue, Oberlin, and Judith (Benjamin) Garbuio, Washington, D.C.; sisters Joan Wood-Smith, Wichita, Patricia Beardsley, Omaha, NE and Mary Bremerman, Salina; 22 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by brothers Louis and Raphael Martin; and sisters Rose Marie Kasel and Betty Bowling.
Parish rosary will be 7:30 p.m., Tuesday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Kingman. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday at the church. Friends may call at the Livingston Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in the Walnut Hill Cemetery.
