HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Redemption Animal Rescue in Hutchinson was among three Kansas nonprofits awarded $1,000 Community Impact Awards from Envista Federal Credit Union as part of its International Credit Union Week celebration.
Envista announced the recipients Monday following a week of community activities held Oct. 11-17 in Hutchinson, Topeka and Lawrence.
The awards recognized nonprofit organizations making a positive difference in their communities, with nominations submitted by credit union members and employees.
In addition to Redemption Animal Rescue, the 2026 recipients included Impact Topeka and Baby Jay’s Legacy of Hope in Lawrence.
As part of the celebration, Envista employees participated in Hutchinson's Third Thursday event, one of several volunteer and community engagement activities organized across the credit union's service areas.
Other activities included supporting local businesses, volunteering with community organizations and providing treats to members at branch locations. Envista also hosted a Kansas-themed basket giveaway featuring products from local makers.
"Local impact happens because of our members," said Val Williams, vice president of marketing for Envista Federal Credit Union. "Every account, loan and interaction helps us invest in stronger communities, and we're grateful for the opportunity to celebrate that impact during ICU Week."
Founded in 1957, Envista Federal Credit Union has approximately $700 million in assets and serves nearly 50,000 members through offices in Hutchinson, Topeka and Lawrence.
