MARY MAGDALENE HOUSE

The Mary Magdalene House will host an educational evening on PTSD and trauma on Sunday, September 29 at 6 p.m., offering community members a free opportunity to expand their knowledge and strengthen their ability to support loved ones.

The session, titled “PTSD and Trauma: The Facts,” will be led by Dr. Jessica Kerzner, PSY. Ph.D., a respected psychologist with extensive clinical and academic expertise. The program is designed to provide participants with practical tools and insights to better understand trauma, recognize triggers, and foster meaningful communication.

Organizers emphasize that the class will equip attendees to more effectively support friends, family, or community members living with PTSD or coping with the aftermath of extreme trauma.

“Through Dr. Kerzner’s guidance, participants will discover meaningful ways to express love and support, creating a nurturing environment for healing and growth,” the announcement states.

The event is free of charge with registration, removing financial barriers for those seeking to deepen their understanding.
