Vernon Lytle, 87, passed away Sunday, June 27, 2021 in Durango, Colorado. He was born on May 19, 1934 in Pratt County, Kansas, the son of George Vernon Lytle and Lola (Williams) Lytle. On March 7, 1952, he married Mary Jean (Calvert) Lytle in Anthony, KS. She preceded him in death on March 30, 2019.
Vernon was a truck driver and mechanic.
Surviving are two sons, John (Debbie) Lytle and Lee Lytle, both of Durango, CO; one daughter, Jean Ellis of Ignacio, CO; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Vernon was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one granddaughter, Jenny Lytle, and seven sisters, Nettie, Ruby, Vera, Wanda, Thelma, Greta, and Betty.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 2, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. at Larrison Funeral Home, 120 E. Lincoln, Medicine Lodge, KS 67104 with Pastor Tom Walters officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Medicine Lodge, KS.
