Later in the inning, Scott added her third RBI of the game with a sacrifice fly to put Wichita State up 7-0 through five innings.&nbsp; &nbsp; In the bottom of the fifth, KU immediately responded, drawing a leadoff walk, followed by back-to-back doubles to shrink the Shocker lead to 7-2, forcing a Wichita State pitching change. Now facing&nbsp;<dfn style="text-align: start;color: rgb(0, 0, 0);background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);font-size: 16px;font-family: Roboto, sans-serif;"><a href="https://goshockers.com/sports/softball/roster/ryley-nihart/9325" rel="smarttag" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Ryley Nihart</a></dfn>, Kansas added a run on a sacrifice fly to make it 7-3, but that was the end of the damage for the Jayhawks in the fifth. &nbsp; Nihart held the Jayhawks in check across the final two innings, giving the Shockers a 7-3 road victory. &nbsp; Barber earned the win in her 2.0 innings of relief.
