BUHLER, Kan. — Buhler USD 313 kicks off the school year on Wednesday with both online and in-person learning.

According to Superintendent Cindy Couchman, about 133 students have chosen to learn remotely this year. That number represents about 5.5% of the district's students.

Couchman says that, like other districts, there are guidelines for riding buses including limited seating, assigned seating, all riders must wear masks and everyone must sanitize their hands before boarding.

Students and staff will have their temperature checked at the door of each building.

Like the other districts, meals will be provided for students that are learning from home. Arrangements must be made to pick up meals at either Union Valley Elementary School or Buhler High School.
