HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson City Council will meet Tuesday evening with several development, infrastructure and property-related items scheduled for discussion and possible action.

The meeting is set for 5:30 p.m. at City Hall.

One of the primary agenda items involves the continuation of a public hearing regarding a structure at 2100 North Jackson Street that city officials have identified as unsafe and dangerous. Following the hearing, council members are expected to consider a resolution formally declaring the structure unsafe and authorizing the mayor to sign the resolution.

Council members will also receive an update on an abandoned property located at 211 East Fourth Avenue.

Infrastructure and capital improvement projects are also on the agenda. The council will consider reallocating 2026 Capital Improvement Program funds originally designated for the Jet Center to an airport sign replacement project.

In addition, city officials will present information on the Carey Park Water Reuse Project. The project is designed to improve water efficiency and irrigation operations within the park system.

The council is also expected to consider approval of the Hutch Rec Salt City Splash agreement. Another development-related item includes consideration of a design agreement contract tied to the Meadows on Monroe project.

Residents unable to attend in person can stream the meeting live through the City of Hutchinson’s YouTube channel or Facebook page.
