HAVEN, Kan. — StartUp Hutch, in partnership with the Hutchinson Community Foundation and Haven Economic Development, will host a free grant writing workshop for small business owners Monday, Nov. 16, at the Haven Community Center.
The workshop will run from 5:30 to 7 p.m. and is designed to help current and aspiring entrepreneurs identify funding opportunities, navigate the grant application process and develop stronger proposals.
Participants will learn where to find grants and other funding opportunities, what organizations consider when reviewing applications and how to prepare competitive grant proposals. The session will also highlight resources available to support small business growth.
Jan Steen of the Hutchinson Community Foundation will join StartUp Hutch to provide insight into the grant process and offer guidance on pursuing potential funding opportunities.
The workshop is part of StartUp Hutch's ongoing efforts to expand access to entrepreneurship resources throughout Reno County, particularly in rural communities.
Organizers said the event is intended for business owners at various stages, including those preparing to launch a new venture, planning an expansion or seeking resources to strengthen an existing business.
The workshop is free and open to the public. Registration is available at www.startuphutch.com.
